A glass skin care routine is a simple skincare routine with absolutely no redundancy as it involves the right amount of products and steps, designed to achieve flawless, glass skin.
Glass skin is the dream of every woman. Glass skin is smooth, translucent and oh so soft. But to get glass skin you need to do more than just apply a glass skin cream. You need a glass skin care routine and here is the one I use.
Skin care routine is very important. It could stop from many skin problems. Everybody’s skin is sensitive and varies depending upon the individual but skin care products don’t vary. At least one should be aware of them to use it accordingly. Here I am sharing my personal glass skin care regime that worked for me.
The glass skin care routine is simply an alternative to the 10 step Korean skincare routine. The focus is more on consistency in your routine rather than the number of products.
The very first step in your skin care routine should always be using a cleanser. Cleansing removes all of the dirt, makeup, and pollution from your face that’s clogging your pores and causing damage to your skin. Although you do not necessarily have to use a facial cleanser for this step, it is much more beneficial than just using a face wash or soap.
Cleansers are the start of a well-rounded skin care routine. It’s important to keep the skin free of makeup, dirt, oil, grime and pollution before you start putting serums, creams, and lotions on your face.
Cleansers are one the most important steps in your skin care regime, because they remove your skin’s top layer of dead skin cells and pollutants that help maintain clean, healthy looking skin. It is extremely rare to find a cleanser that smells good, feels good, and removes all the nasty stuff you don’t need on your face. But I did. From Raw Elements Skincare.
Your skin-care routine starts with a good cleanser. Just think of how dirty your face is each day, from pollutants in the outside air and even the grease you leave on your pillow after a fun night out. It’s important to cleanse your skin thoroughly to remove makeup (if there’s any), dirt, and oil from the day. This first step in your skin-care routine will remove these impurities and wake up your skin for the rest of your treatment.
After cleansing, the second step in your facial routine should be an exfoliant. This is the part where it gets a little tricky for some. The question I get asked most with regard to exfoliation is how often someone should do it. There are two thoughts on this: some experts say that you can exfoliate as often as you want, while others recommend that you only exfoliate 2 – 3 times a week.
Yes, the second step is exfoliation which means using products that will help shed the outer layer of your skin. Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells and dirt from your pores. It can also help to raise your skin’s temperature so you can effectively begin to break down lipids (oil) that accumulate in your pores.
This step is the important part. It removes all of your dead skin cells and replaces them with new cells. By doing this it brings new life to your skin. This helps bring back the health and visible living glow to your skin.
We’ll be utilizing an exfoliant in order to remove dead skin cells and debris from pores. Exfoliating also allows us to slough away rough patches of dry skin that might be causing problems with the absorption of other products. Products that can be considered to fall within this category include physical exfoliants (scrubs), chemical exfoliants (vitamins A, C, and retinoids), peptide-based exfoliants, antioxidant-rich products, and even a few solid scrubs.
Now that you’ve taken the time to carefully cleanse your skin, it makes sense to complete the process and actually remove the dead skin cells. Don’t worry, there are lotions out there that help in this process. I use an exfoliant regularly because my skin gets congested with a ton of different products from muscle repair creams to anti-aging serums, which can clog my pores. So, when I first started using an exfoliant, it was like my face had never felt so good after a shower!
Now that you’ve exfoliated your skin, it’s vital that you hydrate it. If your skin isn’t moisturized, it can look dull and dry. Plus, when skin is dehydrated it becomes prone to breakouts and fine lines. To hydrate your skin, you need to use products that are hydrating. Keep in mind that not every hydrator will suit your skin type (you have normal, dry or oily skin).
Your glass skin care routine should include a hydrating face lotion. It might seem counter-intuitive, but the dryness of cold weather can wreak havoc on your skin. When your skin is at its driest, it’s also the most susceptible to damage and wrinkles. Hydration is essential for vibrant, healthy skin.
This step is very important because hydrated skin will drink up all the products you applied in the previous steps.
Sometimes, it can be easy to overlook this step and rush through your entire skin care routine so that you can get back to the lazy, fun part of your day (whatever that might be). Although hydrating is a simple step to one’s skin regimen, it is crucial in the process of maintaining healthy-looking skin.
Add a hydrating toner to your daily skin care routine. Toner assists in removing any last traces of the cleansing process while also adding moisture back into the skin. I recommend applying this product with a cotton pad and just getting a light layer of product over your face to ensure you’re not wasting product by getting it all over your hands.
- SKIN ANTI-POLLUTION
Before we dive into this 4th step, let’s talk about why you should have a skin anti-pollution routine. If you never have pollution on your skin (and the sun), then you don’t need to be doing this step. But if you live in any of the large cities worldwide, pollution is a real problem that many of us face every day. Forget facial skin care, our skin area is the largest organ on our body so we need to protect it from these barriers that can damage our health such as UV rays and more.
No matter what your skin type is, it’s important to incorporate a skin anti-pollution routine into your daily skincare regimen. Microbes, pollens, dirt, debris and even toxins can settle on the delicate surface of your face, leaving it prone to breakouts and irritation. Protecting your skin with a skin anti-pollution routine will prevent acne and keep your complexion healthy.
Skin anti-pollution can be done using ingredients that help to defend skin. Ingredients with antioxidant properties assist in this function by neutralizing free radicals and in turn, enhancing cellular integrity and promoting the production of more healthy skin cells.
So, what to look for in a skin anti-pollution? That would be that the cosmetics is containing pentavitin. Pentavitin is a dermatological patented element, which also has an environment-friendly certificate. Now that we’ve set the tone and given our skin a deep cleanse, it’s time to add moisture back into our skin. Again, only use products made for your skin type. If you are dry, then you won’t want a heavy lotion or cream.
If your skin is like mine, it will probably shed every layer of skin cell that it has and still want to crack. At least mine does. Skin care doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as you need it to be, especially if your skin isn’t as sensitive. If your skin hasn’t reacted too well to the other products you’ve used, just stop using those products and use a cream moisturizer until you can get a hold of some sensitive skin products.
There is nothing that I love more than moisturizing. It’s my favorite thing to do in the morning! Once you have cleansed and toned, you are going to want to moisturize. Moisturizing is a step that often gets overlooked but it is so important. Your face will feel refreshed and rejuvenated. Your makeup will go on like a dream too!
While most people believe the only way to moisturize your skin is with a lotion or a cream, you can actually use natural oil. Olive oil is one of the best natural moisturizers out there, but it’s not limited to just that; there are all different kinds of oils and natural remedies you can choose from as long as they are 100% pure.
This is the next step of the glass skin care routine we’ve been following: radiate. I know, I know, it sounds like it’s the last step in a beauty pageant, but bear with me. This step will set you up nicely to do all your makeup and get ready for work or whatever your day entails.
When you adopt a glass skin care routine, you’ll be on your way to that elusive baby soft skin. When combined with proper skincare products, sun protection, and a balanced diet, you’ll have reached that desired glass skin glow. In this step, we’ll discuss the importance of radiating and how it keeps your skin looking its best.
Now that you’ve reduced inflammation, healed everything from the inside out, and started to build and strengthen your skin layer by layer, it’s time to peel away the skin and reveal that deep glowing radiance who’s been hiding beneath.
Radiance is your skin’s final goal; it’s what happens when you are doing the rest of your skincare routine correctly. While this is among the final stages, it might seem a little less important than other steps, it is actually very important because it determines what everyone sees when they look at your face.
So now that you have your skin cleaned, your pores unclogged and your face nourished, it’s time to turn on the afterglow. This step will leave you with dewy, radiant skin that everyone will notice–and complement!
It seems like we finally reached the end of our 8 step glass skincare routine. It truly is important to make sure you’re using a sunscreen and when you go out into the sun. As last step in the routine, remember that applying a sunscreen to your face every day is crucial.
The final step in my skin care routine is sunscreen. This is by far the most important step and the one I don’t want anyone to miss out on. Sunscreen is your last line of defense against sun damage. The UVA and UVB rays from the sun cause wrinkles, brown spots, and even skin cancer if they aren’t properly protected against.
Last but not the least, sunscreen. Whether you have normal or sun-sensitive skin, applying (and reapplying!) sunscreen is just as important for everyone who’s still outdoors! When choosing your sunscreen, make sure to look for a broad-spectrum formula and one that protects against both UVA and UVB rays.
The final step — sunscreen — is also one of the most important ones. You may think that sunscreen isn’t necessary if you live in a place where the sun isn’t that strong. However, our skin still needs some protection from UV rays because of pollution and even indirect sunlight – such as rays coming through the glass or from fluorescent lights.
Alas, we have arrived at the end of our skin care journey. We’ve covered the steps to a healthy, beautiful skin. Sunscreen is an important part of this journey and it’s where we’ll close out today.
